By Our Correspondent,Achham, Apr. 9: Locals have closed Sanfebagar road section in Achham district following an accidental death.

The road was closed on Saturday in protest against the death of Hemraj Kunwar, 26, a resident of Ward No. 3 of Sanfebagar Municipality.

Kunwar, who was hit by a bus (Sudurpashchim State 01-001 Kha 3154) last Sunday, died Friday during treatment in Kathmandu.

Injured Kunwar was receiving treatment in Nepalgunj.  However, he was rushed to Kathmandu after he got unconscious after a surgery.

The families have demanded investigation into the death citing that the bus owner and the doctor in Nepalgunj might have played a dubious role.

“We have closed the road demanding strict action against the bus driver and full economic support for the deceased’s wife and two daughters,” said Shailendra Kunwar, uncle of the deceased. The family members, relatives and friends of the victims had burned tires and placed obstruction on the road to prevent vehicular movement.

The protest has affected vehicle movement from Dhangadhi, Mahendranagar and Tikapur areas to and through Bajura district and Terai region.
