By Our Correspondent,Dolpa, Mar. 30: Devotees thronged to Dolpa's Sriwala Tripura Sundari Bhagwati Temple on Wednesday on the occasion of Chaite Dashain.
The temple, which is closed on other days, saw hundreds of pilgrims on the day.
To facilitate the devotees, all the four gates of temple were opened.
According to temple priest Laxmi Prasad Upadhyaya, the temple is regarded as the place where Bhagwati originated from.
People from neighbouring districts Rukum, Jajarkot and Jumla as well as the capital Kathmandu come to the temple as worshipping here is believed to give childless couple children.
The Nepal Police, Nepali Army and volunteers from the local youth club were stationed at the temple to ensure peace and security. Four poles (Lingas) were also erected on the temple premises for Chaite Dashain.
