Ganapati to be screened from May 19

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Mar. 22: The poster of the movie  ‘Ganapati’, directed by Sabin Adhikari is scheduled to be released on May 19. Announcing a poster of the film on Tuesday, the released date of the film was announced. 

The poster of the film shows the difference between God in the form of faith and the human being present on earth in the physical form. Actors Mukun Bhushal and Menuka Pradhan are seen in the poster while a person wearing a mask reflecting the face of Lord Ganesha is placed in the front.

According to director Adhikari, this movie will portray the character of our society. The story of the films revolves around a person treated as God once and later the same person is treated like devil in society, he added. Written and directed by Adhikari, the film is done by Kabita Neupane, Suryamala Khanal, Jayananda Lama, Prakash Ghimire, Rajaram Paudel, Pushkar Gurung, Anshu Manandhar, Kalu Rana, Tika Bhakta Jirel, Devendra Bablu and Sushil Pokharel. Although the name ‘Ganapati’ sounds religious, the film does not oppose or promote any religion, said Adhikari.

 Actor Bhushal plays the title character in the movie. The movie entirely shot in  Bandipur Rural Municipality of Tanahun. Produced by Laxman Thapa, Hari Bahadur Ghale has directed cinematography.
