By Our Correspondent,Kawasoti, Mar. 11: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transportation Narayan Kaji Shrestha has warned that the government will cancel the contract if the contractors do not complete the Narayanghat-Butwal road section in time.

Stating that the government had already extended the deadline for the contractors because it was the national pride project, he said they would not extend it again. “If the work is not completed within the deadline, we will not tolerate it,” he added.

Talking to media persons in Nawalpur, he said, “We are asking the contractor to work in full swing time and again, this time we will not extend the deadline, instead we will cancel the contract.”

Addressing a programme in Madhyabindu-1, DPM Shrestha also said the country would not be developed until the quality of the education was improved. He also inaugurated a school building of Shanti Adharbhut Namuna School.

According to Shrestha, the government was keenly working on development projects targeting prosperity. “There will be development and the gap between haves and haves not will end one day,” he added.

He also said the government wanted to improve education quality both in public, private and community schools.

On the occasion, Mayor Bhimlal Adhikari drew the attention of the Deputy Prime Minister towards the inner roads, bridges and others at the time. Principal of the school Dadhiram Sapkota submitted the annual report of the school to the DPM on the occasion.
