Ram Chandra Paudel files candidacy for president

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 25: Senior leader of the Nepali Congress Ram Chandra Paudel has filed his candidacy for the post of president.
Reaching the Election Officer's Office in New Baneshwar, Paudel registered his candidacy for the presidential post on Saturday.
Leaders Sher Bahadur Deuba, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Ashok Kumar Rai and Abdul Khan proposed Paudel for the post whereas Mahantha Thakur, Purna Bahadur Khadka, Ranjita Shrestha, Chitra Bahadur KC and Hit Raj Pande supported.
Paudel has been supported by CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist), Nagarik Unmukti Party, LSP, Janamat Party and Rashtriya Janamorcha Party.
