By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Dec. 1: Senior journalist Dhruba Hari Adhikary and literary persona Govinda Giri (Prerana) were honoured amid a programme in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Journalist Adhikary was honoured with Rukmani Siwakoti Smriti Journalism Award while writer Giri was honoured with Rukmani Siwakoti Sashtra Samman at a programme organised jointly by Rukmaniraj Siwakoti Smarak Kosh and Gyangun Kanun Patishthan. Speaking at the programme, former justice of the Supreme Court Top Bahadur Singh said that Gyangun Publications has informed people about the contributions made by many personalities to the society by publishing research books on them.
"I thought that I was not able to do anything in my life, but when the foundation prepared a book on me, I felt that I was able to do something for the society," said Singh
Awardee Adhikary said that he was happy that Gyangun Foundation awarded him with a booklet on him.
Likewise, writer Govind Giri (Prerana) said that respect adds responsibility. Kamal Dixit Smriti Issue-1, Bishwonath Upadhyay Smriti Issue-3, Rukmani Siwakoti Smriti Issue, Dhanendra Bahadur Singh Smriti Issue, and the booklets written about former Supreme Court Justice Top Bahadur Singh, Journalist Dhurba Hari Adhikary, Literary Govind Giri were launched at the programme.
Justice, a book written by Sesharaj Siwakoti was also launched in the programme.
