By Our Correspondent, Kaski, May 27: On the occasion of World Environment Day, the play Earth 2.0 Loading is set to be staged at the Gandharva Theatre of Pokhara.
Scheduled to run from May 28 to 31, rehearsals for the production have now reached their final stage.
Prepared to mark World Environment Day, the play presents themes of earth conservation, environmental awareness and the impact of human behaviour on nature.
Writer and director Paribartan Karki said that the play has been developed with the central theme of how to protect the planet. According to him, the production has been crafted in a comedy style, allowing audiences to enjoy the performance while also receiving an important message. He urged viewers to watch the play and embrace the environmental message it conveys.
He further stated that the play has been especially designed for students studying from Grades 1 to 10. However, it is not limited to students alone, as parents, environmental activists and anyone interested in environmental issues will also be able to enjoy the production.
The one-hour play features performances by Paribartan himself alongside Ramesh Babu Timalsina, Ranju Dahal, Utsarga Subedi, Susan Poudel and Rahul Shrestha.
According to the organisers, there are plans to continue staging the play throughout the month of Jestha. The stage construction team includes Bikash Adhikari, Bishnuhari Nepal and Binita Bayalkoti. Coordination has been handled by Awadhesh Mani Khanal, while market management is overseen by Binisha Shrestha and the box office by Bindu Regmi.
