Lyricist Dr. Upadhyay makes 22 more world records

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Nov. 30:  Lyricist Dr. DR Upadhyay has added 22 world  records to his name.

Former vice president of the Republic of Nepal Parmanand Jha presented the certificate of the 22 world records to  Upadhyay at a programme  organised in the capital on Monday.

The records have been awarded to him by 11 different organisations.

Previously, he had set 110 world records including Guinness Book of World in various categories including songs in 50 international languages, smallest book, note size song, songs of 150 countries’ tourist places. Speaking at the function, former vice president Jha  said that Upadhyaya's actions were not only a matter of pride for him but also for the country as a whole. 

Radheshyam Lekali, former president of the International Nepali Literature Society (ANESAS), Chudamani Devkota, current president of the Songwriters’ Association, and Madhav Khanal, general secretary of the Khanal Society, appreciated the works of lyricist Upadhyay in the programme.
