Absconding defendant of banking crime arrested

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 26: The police have arrested Nisa Gurung from Tokha Municipality-6, Kathmandu who was absconding after the court order to arrest her on a banking crime. 

She is a 42 years old who hails from Pokhara Municipality, Kaski and now is residing in Kathmandu Municipality-13. Gurung is arrested by the police mobilized by the Central Investigation Bureau, Maharajgunj.  

She had remained absconded since the Patan High Court issued a verdict of 5 days imprisonment and penalty of Rs 2.3 million and 14 thousand and 240 on a banking crime case against her on 26 April 2022.

She was arrested against the crime of check bounce from Kumari Bank Limited of Darbar Marga branch. 

The police have presented her in the Kathmandu District Court to implement the court decision.
