Cholera found in two patients admitted at Teku hospital

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 19: Two patients admitted at the Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital at Teku in Kathmandu have been confirmed to have contracted cholera.

Navaraj Gautam, information officer of the Hospital, said that the patients were confirmed to have had cholera.

The patient's stool culture test was conducted to see if they were suffering from cholera.  

They were admitted to the hospital on Thursday and treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

According to information officer Gautam, their health condition is normal now and that preparations are underway to shift them to normal ward.
