Das, Chauhan bag singer awards

By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, June 13: The Star Music Video Awards 2022 concluded presenting awards to the winners in various 42 categories in the capital on Saturday. 

Singers Pratap Das and Eleena Chauhan received the best male and female singer awards in the modern song category for their songs Timi Chhau and Okhal Dhikima respectively. Organised by Great Natraj Films, Binod KC bagged the best musician award while Diya Pokharel excelled in the new singing genre.

Likewise, Rahul Baraili won the award of the best video director, Jebika Karki won the award of the female model and Nawaraj Upreti won the award of music video cinematographer in the same category. 

Harish Niraula (Cockroach) won the best male model award in modern song video while Prakash Basnet received new model and Sanvi Khatiwada won the award of the best child artist.

On the linguistic side, Dev Dorje Lama received the best Tamang song video director award while Heruka Lama and Sarita Rana won the best male and female awards respectively. 

Similarly, Rupesh Jha won the best singing award in Maithili song.

Nathuni Jaishwal won the best dance leader award, Mohan Lama won the best male makeup artist award and Sapna Lamsal won the award for female makeup artist.

Under the folk Pop category, singer Prabin Bhatta bagged the best singer award for his song Sarankot.

 Sunil Gurung won the male model award, Subol Thapa won the best music video director award and Nisha Gurung Shrestha won the best folk cultural song award in the same category. 

 Likewise, under the folk duet genera, singers Man Singh Khadka and Tika Pun received the best male and female singer awards receptively.  

Folk duet singers Krishna Kandel, Raju Pariyar, musician Kharka Budha, singers Laxmi Neupane and Sarita Bharti were honoured for their long contribution to the field of song and music. 

Similarly, dancer Bishal Syangjali, artiste Madhur Basnet and social activist Dilli Adhikari were also honoured at the event.
