Rs. 4.15 billion budget allocated for Banke by federal government

By Our Correspondent Nepalgunj, June 5: Federal government has allocated Rs. 4.15 billion for eight local levels of Banke district for the upcoming fiscal year 2022/23.

The government has allocated Rs. 4 billion 150 million and 73 thousand including current and capital expenses for Banke, according to Budget and Programme Division of the Finance Ministry.

The government has allocated Rs. 2.3 million more budget than the current fiscal year 2021/22 for Banke. A budget of Rs. 3 billion 576 million 800 thousand was allocated for 2020/21 and Rs. 3 billion 923 million and 600 thousand was allocated for the current fiscal year 2021/22.

A budget of Rs. 3 billion 664 million and 400 thousand has been allocated for current and a budget of Rs. 492 million and 900 thousand has been allocated for capital expense in the upcoming fiscal year. 

For eight local levels of Banke equalization grant of 1 billion 461 million and 600 thousand, conditional grant of Rs. 2 billion 495 million and 800 hundred thousand, special grant of Rs. 108 million, complementary grant of Rs. 91 million and 9 thousand has been allocated for the upcoming fiscal year.

The government has allocated the highest budget of 2022/23 for Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City with an amount of Rs. 957 million and 500 thousand which includes a conditional grant of Rs. 570 million and 100 thousand, financial equalization grant of Rs. 339 million and 900 thousand, special grant of Rs. 20 million and complementary grant of Rs. 27 million and 500 thousand.

Similarly, Kohalpur Municipality will get a budget of Rs. 580 million and 100 thousand for the upcoming fiscal year which includes a conditional grant of Rs. 348 million and 400 thousand, financial equalization grant of Rs. 210 million and 700 thousand, special grant of 15 million and complementary grant of six million.

For Khajura Rural Municipality, the government has allocated conditional grant of Rs. 339 million and 500 thousand, financial equalization grant of Rs. 167 million and 900 thousand, special grant of Rs. 8 million and complementary grant of 7 million rupees totalling Rs. 522 million and 400 thousand.

Similarly, for Baijnath Rural Municipality a total budget of Rs. 489 million has been allocated which includes conditional grant of Rs. 293 million and 600 thousand, financial equalization grant of Rs. 167 million and 900 thousand, special grant of 8 million and complementary grant Rs. 16 million.

Duduwa Rural Municipality will get Rs. 374 million and 600 thousand from the government which includes conditional grant of Rs. 219 million and 100 thousand, financial equalization grant of Rs. 151 million and 500 thousand, special grant of Rs. 15 million and complementary grant of Rs. 9 million.

Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality will receive a budget of Rs. 529 million and 100 thousand which includes conditional grant of Rs. 346 million and 500 thousand and financial grant of Rs. 180 million and 600 thousand. Special and complementary grant has not been allocated here.

Likewise, a budget of Rs. 351 million and 900 thousand has been allocated for Narainapur Rural Municipality which includes Rs. 203 million and 800 thousand for conditional grant, Rs. 122 million and 100 thousand for financial grant, Rs. 15 million special grant and Rs. 11 million for complementary grant.
