NASA’s Message To Aliens

The Beacon in the Galaxy project has proposed sending a new message into space to contact extraterrestrial intelligence in the Milky Way. Planet coordinates and "nudity" - a message from NASA will hurry aliens to visit Earth

BITG is a project that brings together specialists from various institutions, such as the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the NASA Department of Aerospace Engineering (USA), as well as universities in the UK, the Netherlands and China.

"Space letter", which is proposed to be sent to possible "brothers in mind" - a message encoded in a binary system, includes information about the biochemical composition of life on Earth, the position of the solar system in the Milky Way, as well as digitised scientific data, "a detailed description of naked human bodies" and an invitation to aliens to "reply" or "visit Earth".

When Beacon in the Galaxy first shared the plans with space scientists, the UK's University of Oxford sounded the alarm about NASA's plans to broadcast Earth's position and other information about the planet into space.

In their opinion, "these efforts could have dangerous unintended consequences, including launching an alien invasion." Anders Sandberg , Senior Fellow at Oxford's Future of Humanity Institute (FHI), argues that such a broadcast could be risky.

"In the unlikely event that an alien civilisation receives the message," he told the Telegraph newspaper, "the response may not be just a friendly greeting." Another FHI scientist at Oxford, Toby Ord, has suggested that there should be public discussion before sending signals to aliens, as "space broadcast" could be "used to capture earthlings":

"The danger, of course, is small, but we do not know with whom or what we may encounter and therefore we cannot control the likely consequences."

While scientists argue, the Pentagon is "monitoring UFOs." The U.S. House Intelligence Committee has scheduled a May 17 hearing on the results of 143 UFO sightings recorded between 2004 and 2021.

This was announced by Congressman Andre Carson . Having specified that the hearings will be held by the subcommittee of the Committee on Intelligence for Combating Terrorism, Counterintelligence.

“Because this is an area of high public interest, any excessive secrecy may serve as an obstacle to unravelling the mystery, or it may prevent us from finding solutions to potential vulnerabilities,” Carson said, specifying that “the undersecretary will report on the work done to study the encounters with UFOs.” Defence Intelligence and Security Officer Ronald Moultrie and Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence Scott Bray will present their testimony before the Congress.

Recall that in 2017 it turned out that the Pentagon has a project known as the Advanced Aerospace

Threat Identification Programme, which collects information about alleged meetings of American pilots with UFOs and "unexplained aerial phenomena”.

The Pentagon even released three videos in 2020 of unidentified objects performing strange maneuvers in the vicinity of US Air Force aircraft.
