Congress registers victory in Doti's UML stronghold area


By Kashev Chandra Mahara, Dipayal, May 14: Nepali Congress has registered victory in Doti.

Nepali Congress candidate Lal Bahadur Bista has been elected the ward chairman of Aadarsha Rural Municipality, ward no 7 along with the whole panel of Congress.

He has received 336 votes to win the post of ward chair. His competitor CPN (UML)'s Bir Bahadur Bista has received 298 votes.

UML had consecutively held this seat since 2048 BS. Lal Bahadur Bishta of UML had won in 2074 BS. Along with him, two open members, women members and Dalit members also won from the Congress panel.
