Police opens fire in Udayapur: one dead, another injured

By Bhotraj Rai, Udayapur, May 13: A person has been killed while another sustained injuries when the police opened a blank fire to disperse the irate mob involved in a dispute after the completion of voting at Sorung Chhabise in Katari Municipality-10.

According to the Police, the deceased has been identified as Navin Katuwal, 19.

Man Kumar Shrestha, 14, has sustained injuries in his legs. He is reported to have been staying in his home when he was hit by a bullet.

The dispute occurred at the Kalika Secondary School polling center. Locals said that Katuwal died on the spot due to bullets.
