UML secretariat meeting begins in Chyasal after Oli's arrest

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, March 28: A central secretariat meeting of the CPN (UML) is currently underway at the party’s headquarters in Chyasal.
The meeting convened shortly after the arrest of party chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who was taken into custody by the government on charges related to a criminal offense.
According to party sources, the secretariat meeting is expected to focus on determining the party’s protest strategy and future course of action in response to the arrest.
Oli was detained by authorities on Saturday morning from his residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur.
