In the past two years, the gallery has opened up market for women entrepreneurs to empower women and promote tourism too. The Gallery is full of artistically produced goods by the women entrepreneurs from the Koshi Province.The Vice Chair of the Morang Chapter of the Women Entrepreneurs Association Kriti Shrestha Upadhyay shared that the gallery has served as a platform for continuous exhibition of the goods produced by the women entrepreneurs.The gallery comprises handicrafts, goods produced by the reuse of different materials, goods for decoration and local cuisines, among others. The goods showcased there are produced by the women entrepreneurs from Morang, Sundari, Banke, Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, Dhankuta and other districts too and some 50 types of goods have been kept in the gallery. The gallery has bridged the gap of goods exchange and marketing, according to Shrestha. The main purpose of the gallery is to promote the products while showcasing the women entrepreneurs' products, not only being focused on the direct sale of the goods. The gallery has created more opportunities, financial confidence and timely payment through direct sale of the goods by accepting orders. She shared, "We have offered space to all entrepreneurs including students, startups and small business holders." The gallery is a 'live case study' which ensures sustainable productions and promotion of women entrepreneurs, according to Shrestha. (RSS)
