NA meeting: Lawmakers put forth their views on various issues

Kathmandu, May 22: Lawmakers have put forth their views on various contemporary issues in today's National Assembly meeting.     

During urgent time of the meeting, they raised the issues for strengthening health sector to border dispute.     

On the occasion, Krishna Bahadur Rokaya urged the government to make arrangement of medicine for the treatment of cancer disease.     

Similarly, Renu Chanda asked the government to resolve the border dispute at Lampata Chyachour area.     

Mina Singh Rakhal drew government's attention about the problems facing by the people due to natural disaster.     

Meanwhile, speaking in zero hour, the NA members asked the government to forward a process with a clear and concrete action plan for the solution to landless squatter problem.     

On the occasion, Manrupa Sharma demanded the government to provide effective psychological counseling service to children, senior citizens and disable persons removed from riverbank settlements of Kathmandu Valley.     

Similarly, Renu Chand drew government's attention to protect the human rights and fundamental rights of landless squatters, asking to make arrangement of pure drinking water at holding centres.     

Padam Bahadur Pariyar drew the attention towards vacant posts of NA members since six months while Rukmini Koirala to the failure to receive compensation of the land acquired for the construction of Bhardaha bridge as per Koshi agreement.     

Arguing that cooperatives victims have not got justice, Bishnu Kumari Sapkota demanded to resolve the problem immediately.     

Likewise, Bishnu Bahadur Bishwokarma mentioned that normal life was affected and cattle were killed due to incessant rainfall occurred at Changkheli of Humla on May 18, demanding the government to provide relief to the locals.     

Srikrishna Adhikari asked the government to inform the House whether the amount of cooperatives victims is being repaid from state coffer or raising from those involved in cooperative fraud.(RSS)
