By Our Correspondent, Kaski, May 22: The Grand Finale of the Second Gandaki Loktara will feature competition among 11 contestants from 11 districts.
The competition will be organised by the Rastriya Lok Tatha Dohori Geet Pratisthan Nepal, Gandaki Province, and the Second Gandaki Loktara will be selected on May 23.
For this, the contestants selected from district auditions are Shobha Pariyar from Parbat, Samir Pun from Kaski, Lalita Gharti Magar from Baglung, Shakti Chinal from Myagdi, Mandira Thapa Magar from Tanahun, Nischal Gurung from Gorkha, Yugesh Pariyar from Lamjung, Batti Kumari Thapa from Syangja, Ganesh BK from Nawalpur, Sabita Chinal from Mustang, and Mamata Tamang from Manang.
The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of Rs. 55,555 along with a trophy, medal, and certificate, as well as an opportunity to record a song for free with senior creator Ramesh BG.
The second-place winner will receive Rs. 33,333, and the third-place winner will receive Rs. 22,222, along with trophies, medals, and certificates. The fourth-place winner will receive Rs. 11,111.
All participants will receive Rs. 5,000 each. According to programme coordinator and senior vice-president Ramji Paudel, free three-month music training will also be provided to the winners.
According to provincial president Maya Gurung, the Grand Finale will be judged by Rita Thapa Magar, central president of the Academy, music composer Suresh Adhikari, and singers Rajesh Payal Rai and Pashupati Sharma.
