rural areas of about half a dozen rural municipalities in Makawanpur district
have been affected due to rainfall accompanied by windstorm.
The windstorm has damaged many houses and sheds as
well as crops in the farms.
A fallen tree damaged roof and tin of Saraswati
Balbodhani Secondary School at Markhu in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-1.
According to provincial police office in Hetauda,
houses, sheds and crops of at least 26 households have been partially damaged
due to the windstorm, amounting to Rs. 2.2 million.
The windstorm flew away roof of tin of a one and a
half storey house of Bahadur Galan, 50, at Ghairangtar, in Kailash Rural
Municipality, including food grains stored inside, causing a loss over one lakh
fifty thousand rupees while Kalimaya Waiba suffered a loss of over two lakh
rupees when the wind blew away her house roof and food grains stored on the top
floor.
Police teams have been mobilized for necessary
rescue in places affected by the windstorm, according to the provincial police
office.
