Traffic Police Office rebuilt at New Bus Park

Kathmandu, Apr. 24: On Thursday, the Inspector General of Police, Dan Bahadur Karki, officially inaugurated the reconstructed office building of the Traffic Police Circle at New Bus Park during a ceremony held in Kathmandu. During this programme, he also inspected the newly completed facility and presented letters of appreciation and commendation to various individuals and organisations that contributed to the construction of the building.

Addressing the assembled attendees, he expressed his gratitude to all institutions and well-wishers who supported the reconstruction initiative, acknowledging their recognition of the police’s role in fostering a civilised and secure society.

He emphasised that the services provided from the newly reconstructed facility must be more citizen-centric and professional.

Highlighting that a safe society can only be achieved through robust cooperation between the police and the public, he noted that the support garnered from citizens during the reconstruction process has further motivated the police, and he expressed hope for ongoing collaboration.

Inspector General Karki also highlighted the necessity for positive changes in the service delivery approach adopted by police personnel, urging them to maintain respectful communication and conduct.

He expressed confidence that the new facility would motivate enhanced performance and improve citizen-focused service delivery.

At the event, Additional Inspector General Ishwar Karki, the Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, extended a vote of thanks. Deputy Mayor of Tarakeshwar Municipality, Srijana Burlakoti Aryal, and Ward Chairperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 26, Khem Raj Tiwari, also conveyed their best wishes.

In addition, Senior Superintendent of Police Navaraj Adhikari of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office delivered the welcome remarks, while Reconstruction Committee Chairperson Rakesh Singh presented the report on the construction.

The programme was attended by Deputy Inspectors General, senior police officials, local representatives, members of various organisations, and local social workers, among others.
