Khadka, a lawmaker from the Nepali Congress, has been elected chairman of the Public
Account Committee (PAC) of the House of Representatives (HoR).
The meeting of the PAC held on Friday elected Khadka
to the post unopposed as he was the sole candidate for the post.
"Financial discipline and good governance are
prerequisites of economic development of a country. Anomalies of the past will
be checked from repeating. The PAC will pace its activity so as to make people
get the sense of good governance directly," said PAC chairman Khadka after
being elected.
