By Our Correspondent,Myagdi, Mar. 25: The construction of the 40-megawatt Rahughat Hydropower Project in Raghuganga Rural Municipality–3 of Myagdi district has reached its final stage, with major works progressing rapidly toward completion.
The project’s powerhouse and switchyard, located at Tilkenichaur along the Kaligandaki Corridor, are now nearing completion.
According to the project, the work is going at an accelerated pace to complete the construction by mid-May 2026.
The project signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in April 2019, targeting an annual electricity generation of 240.59 million units.
Electricity generated from the Raghughat project will be connected to the national grid through the 220 kV double-circuit Dana–Khurkot transmission line under the Kaligandaki Corridor.
Once completed, the project is expected to contribute significantly to Nepal’s energy supply and strengthen the national transmission system.
