Two youths arrested for looting attempt in Rautahat

Kathmandu, March 3: Two youths have been arrested on charges of attempted robbery in the Chilmiliya area of Gadhimai Municipality-9 in Rautahat district.

According to the Armed Police Force (APF) spokesperson Shailendra Thapa, the suspects are 21-year-olds Soman Kumar Sahani and Rameshwor Sahani of the same locality. They were apprehended while attempting to carry out the crime.

A third accomplice, who was with them, is currently at large, and police have launched a search operation to apprehend him.

An APF patrol team deployed for election security detained the suspects after they allegedly attempted to loot jewelry by intercepting a motorcycle ridden by Dhamendra Raya Yadav and his spouse, Chanchala, of Rajdevi Municipality-8 in the district. (RSS)
