By Thakur Prasad Acharya, Myagdi, Jan 4: Dhan Bahadur Tulachan of Malkabang, Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-5, of Myagdi district, who was missing for 55 years, has been reunited with family.
He left home at the age of 21 in line with getting recruited in the Indian Army, and has finally reunited with family, which has engulfed the family in happiness.
Elder brother of Krishna Prasad Tulachan said that Dhan Bahadur, who has been working in the apple orchard located at Kulli Munali of Himachal Pradesh, India, came in contact with the family a week ago through various means.
He said, "We are currently living in Pakhu, Mangala Rural Municipality-5. We had lost all hope of him ever returning home. When he finally came back after tracing his family through various means, it felt like a dream to us in our old age.”
After being unable to locate him for years, the family had nearly lost all hope. His return, however, has brought great happiness to the family.
Dhan Bahadur’s elder brother, Krishna Prasad, has come to the district headquarters, Beni, to complete the necessary procedures for obtaining citizenship documents for him.
According to Dhan Bahadur, he had traveled from Malkabang to Beni via Thadakhani and then reached India on foot and by using vehicles.
After arriving in India, he suffered an injury to one of his legs, which required a long period of rest and left him unable to return home.
