Kailash Kher sings for Nepali film

Kathmandu, Jan. 30: Renowned Indian singer Kailash Kher has lent his voice to the Nepali film Shivansh.

The production team has confirmed that the film features the song ‘Shiva Tandav’ sung by Kher.

Shivansh is scheduled for a nationwide release on February 13. The inclusion of Kailash Kher’s song was announced by the production team through the release of a new poster showcasing the film’s main characters.

To mark the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, the film has also been accompanied by a special video message from Kher addressed to Nepal and Nepali audiences.

 In the message, Kher talked about his new musical project and highlighted the deep cultural and emotional ties between India and Nepal.

Globally acclaimed for his powerful voice, Kher shared the message in connection with his rendition of the ‘Shiva Tandav Stotram’, which is featured in Shivansh. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for the love and support he has received from Nepali listeners over the years.

“There are no words to express how grateful I am for the immense love Nepali fans have shown me and my songs,” said Kher.

He said Shivansh is a symbol of the friendly relationship between India and Nepal, adding, “This time, something special has happened. Through the spirit of India-Nepal friendship, we have created a very beautiful ‘Tandav Stotram’, which I had the opportunity to sing.”

Kher also shared his hope that Nepali audiences would continue to shower the film with love and blessings, as they have done in the past.

The film is presented by Anjan Cinema Production House and directed by Santosh Kumar Atreya, marking his debut as a director. 

The lead roles are played by Prabin Khatiwada, Tej Giri, Bimala Limbu, and Rusa Neupane. 

The story of Shivansh is written by Anjan KC, with Shobha Bhandari and Anis KC Bogati serving as co-producers. The screenplay is by Barat Limbu.

The film features lyrics by Viplob Pratik and Rajanraj Shiwakoti, with music composed by Nhyoo Bajracharya and Rajanraj Shiwakoti. Vocals are provided by Rajanraj Shiwakoti, Milan Newar, and Samikshya Adhikari.
