Briefing the executive meeting about the trip, Dangol said the primary agenda of her visit was the global promotion of the film festival being organised by the metropolitan city.

As part of preparations for the international event, the metropolis is also planning to launch a local-level campaign titled ‘Tol Tol Ma Film Mahotsav’.

Alongside this, we will organise several preparatory programmes, including the ‘Tol Tol Ma Film Mahotsav’ campaign, which will be a completely community-driven programme.

Its objective is to engage communities through discussions related to films, music and the creative industries. This will help generate momentum for the international film festival that Kathmandu Metropolitan City is preparing to host.”

Based on seniority, Ward-1 Chairperson Bharat Lal Shrestha has been assigned the role of Acting Mayor as she departs for Cannes.
