Govt attention drawn to make free, fair environment for poll

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 27: Members of the National Assembly (NA) has drawn the attention of the government to hold the upcoming election of the House of Representatives (HoR) in a free and fair environment.

Speaking at the special hour, they urged the voters to elect candidates that can contribute for the welfare of the people and nation.

They demanded action against those misusing national flag during electioneering.

Ganga Kumari Belbase, whip of Nepali Communist Party (NCP) for NA, viewed that candidates who raise voices against anomalies, corruption and foreign interference. It is expected that the new government will end anomalies and unemployment."

Rajendra Laxmi Gaire and Gopi Bahadur Sarki Achhami, NA members from the NCP, viewed that the Gen Z movement occurred as the then government could not control corruption and ensure good governance.

Narayan Datta Mishra, NA member from Nepali Congress, demanded that the government should work for ensuring election in a fair, free and independent manner and creating environment for candidates to reach the voters.

Gopal Bhattarai, NA member from CPN (UML), viewed that the arms looted from police during the Gen Z movement and the inmates who fled the prison then could be challenges to election security and that the government should be attentive to this issue.
