Snow-blocked Nagma-Gamgadhi road now operational

Jumla, Jan 27: The Bhulbhule road section of the Nagma–Gamgadhi road has reopened from today. The road under the Karnali Highway was closed due to heavy snowfall on Saturday in Kanakasundari Rural Municipality-1 of Jumla.

The road was closed after heavy snowfall in Bhulbhule. According to Saurabh Kumar Singh, the information officer of the Road Division Office, the road has been fully operational from today after the snow on the road was cleared using a bulldozer.

Transportation of daily consumer goods and development-construction materials to Gamgadhi Bazaar, the headquarters of Mugu, was disrupted after heavy snowfall rendered the road impassable. After the snow was cleared, the halted vehicles proceeded towards their destinations, according to Bhim Bahadur Bhandari, the ward chairman of Kanakasundari Rural Municipality–1. (RSS)
