By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 26: Nepal’s karate star Erika Gurung has won a silver medal at the Karate One-Premier League.
In the competition held in Istanbul, Turkey, on Sunday night, Erika secured a historic silver medal for Nepal in the women’s kumite- 68 kg weight category. In the final, Erika was defeated 4–2 by Sofya Berultseva of Kazakhstan.
Berultseva is a World Championship runner-up and a continental champion. Erika had previously won a bronze medal at the same tournament held in Morocco last year.
