By Janarjan Khatri, Sarlahi, Jan 26: President of Nepali Congress (NC) Gagan Kumar Thapa is scheduled to visit his electoral constituency, Sarlahi–4, today.
According to the Nepali Congress Sarlahi, Thapa is arriving in Sarlahi today.
Vice President of the Nepali Congress Madhesh Province, Birendra Prasad Singh, said that Thapa will be welcomed at Karmaiya in Bagmati along the East–West Highway and then taken to Sarlahi Constituency No. 4.
Party leaders and workers from Sarlahi and Rautahat are expected to gather at Karmaiya in Bagmati, located on the border of the two districts, to welcome Party President Thapa.
Thapa is scheduled to stay in his constituency, Sarlahi–4, for a few days, during which he will meet party leaders, workers, and voters.
In the House of Representatives election that is being held on March 25, a total of 38 candidates are competing in Sarlahi–4, including Nepali Congress President Thapa; Dr Amaresh Kumar Singh from the Rastriya Swatantra Party; Aamanis Kumar Yadav from the CPN-UML; Dr Rajneesh Raya from the CPN; and Rameshwar Raya Yadav from JSP Nepal, among others.
