Shahi and Rakhal elected NA members from Karnali
By Lalit Basel, Surkhet, Jan 25: Candidates of Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (UML) have been elected as National Assembly (NA) members from the Karnali Province in the NA election held today.
Lalit Jung Shahi of NC and Mina Singh Rakhal of UML got elected.
Shahi got 26 votes from provincial members and 100 votes from local levels while UML’s Rakhal got 26 votes from provincial members and 93 votes from local levels.
Their rivals Anju Mahatara of Nepali Communist Party (NCP) got 13 votes from provincial members and 55 votes from local levels and Buddhi Prasad Sharma of NCP got 13 provincial voters and 50 local level votes.
