By Santosh Dahit, Dang, Jan 25: Candidates of the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) have been elected to the National Assembly (NA) from Lumbini Province in the NA elections held today.
Ram Kumari Jhakri of CPN (UML) under women category and Chandra Bahadur KC under other category and Basudev Ghimire under minority category of the NC have been elected as the NA members.
Jhakri got 6,303 vote-weightage against her rival Durga Kumari Bhandari of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) who got 1362 vote weightage
NC’s KC got 5977 vote weightage against his rival Brihaspati Adhikari of NPC who got 1832 vote weightage.
Similarly, NC’s Ghimire got 5323 vote weightage against his rival Sarjan BK of NCP who got 1601 vote weightage.
