By Prem Raj Simkhada, Kalikot, Jan 23: Central committee member of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Jiban Bahadur Buda has withdrawn his candidacy.
He was supposed to have filed candidacy against another central committee member of the NCP and former Chief Minister of Karnali Province Mahendra Bahadur Shahi.
The rebellious leader Buda withdrew his candidacy after a brief conversation with coordinator of NCP Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
The office of the chief election officer has informed that the rebellious candidate of Nepali Congress Bhupendra Jung Shahi, Dharma Raj Neupane from Progressive Democratic Party and independent candidate Prem Singh Tiruwal also withdrew their candidacy.
According to Chief Election Officer Kul Prasad Dahal, the four candidates withdrew candidacy within stipulated time.
