NC will emerge victorious: Young leader Tiwari

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 21: A young leader of the Nepali Congress (NC) Shankar Tiwari has claimed that due to renewed leadership, organizational discipline and growing public concern have positioned the NC to emerge as the largest political force in Nepal.

Putting forth his views in his social media account, NC young leader Tiwari urged all party wishers to vote for the party. “It does not matter whether I am a candidate or not, I appeal to all to vote for our party.”

Tiwari asserted candidate nominations concluded in the country on January 20 amid a mileu of peace, enthusiasm and public engagement.

According to the young leader, party leaders mentioned the nomination process as a reflection of increasing democratic expectations following the political turmoil of September 8 and 9.

Addressing seniors, a senior NC leader expressed the election represented a turning point in the political discourse of Nepal.

He stated he gives less importance to his individual candidacy than the wide political mission of the party.

 He further added their primary purpose has always remained the change of the NC to enhance national transformation because the party caught the journey of fulfilling the goal by overcoming broader uncertainty.

He presented the recently concluded leadership transformation as a historic under the party leadership of party president Gagan Thapa, the NC has entered in the election campaign with renewed energy and clarity of purpose by receiving public truth.

The NC concluded candidates in all 165 constituencies in spite of legal and internal hindrances within a limited timeframe.

Despite legal and internal challenges during ticket distribution, the Congress finalised candidates in all 165 constituencies within fix timeframe, maintaining regional, ideological, and organisational balance. For the first time since the promulgation of the republican constitution, the party has fielded candidates under the tree symbol in all constituencies.

At last, He stated party leaders have called on cadres to address internal dispute and strengthen unity. According to him, party leaders presented showing their confidence of the Nepali Congress’s strong collaborative and leading role in national politics.
