Air pollution high across country, MoHP urges to adopt caution

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 1: The Ministry of Health and Population has urged citizens to use a mask while stepping out of the house.

Issuing a notice, MoHP has urged to use of masks while going out of the house, saying that the air pollution level in various metropolises of the country, including Kathmandu Valley, has reached a dangerous level.

It has requested the general public to avoid leaving their homes except for essential work.

"Lately, air pollution has reached dangerous levels in various urban areas of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. Therefore, use masks while stepping out and to not go out of the house unless it is necessary, reads the notice.

Doctors said that excessive air pollution can cause respiratory problems, eye irritation, headaches, and long-term health risks.
