Child dies after falling from house railing

By Lila Raj Khadka, Birtamod, Dec 25: A child died after falling from the railing of a home located in Birtamod of Jhapa. 

Son of Ram Kumar Karki, six-year-old Riyansh Karki, of Aagaman Tole of Birtamod-4, who got injured after falling from a railing a week ago, died in the course of treatment on Wednesday night.

He was seriously injured when he suddenly fell to the ground while playing on the railing of his three-story house at 8:15 pm on May 2nd.

He was taken to B&C Hospital in Birtamod for treatment.

Police said that he died at 7:15 pm on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the same hospital. 

The body of the deceased child is at the same hospital.

 District Police Office, Jhapa, said that a team from the Area Police Office, Birtamod, is conducting an investigation.
