Kathmandu, Dec 21: Minister for Water Supply Rajendra Singh Bhandari has directed all agencies under the ministry to work result-oriented in a way that gives a sense of pride.
While assuming the office at the Ministry today, he emphasized that everyone should make sincere efforts to provide clean, safe, and pure drinking water to the general public.
Minister Bhandari pointed out that drinking water is a fundamental need and right of citizens and clarified that the Ministry should focus on effective planning and implementation to address the problems seen in this sector.
He stated that safe drinking water has still not reached rural and remote areas of the country and expressed commitment to prioritize this issue.
“Everyone should work to ensure citizens have access to clean drinking water. The Ministry is committed to necessary cooperation and coordination," Minister Bhandari said, adding, "Our work should make life easier for ordinary citizens, and everyone, from staff to leadership, should feel a sense of pride from it."
He stated that priority will be given to good governance, transparency, and accountability in the ministry and its subordinate offices, and directed that incomplete and ongoing projects be completed on time.(RSS)
