Chinese Ambassador bids farewell to NA chair Dahal

Kathmandu, Dec 21: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, made a farewell visit to Narayan Prasad Dahal, the Chairman of the National Assembly.     

Ambassador Song, who is concluding his tenure, held the farewell meeting today at Chairman Dahal's office, in Singha Durbar.     

During the meeting, Chairman Dahal commended the Ambassador for his efforts in enhancing the bilateral relations between the two nations during his time in Nepal, as reported by the National Assembly Secretariat. "You have significantly contributed to strengthening the relations between our countries during your tenure," Chairman Dahal remarked during the farewell.     

 "We will always remember you as a true friend, no matter where you go," Chairman Dahal said.     

He also noted that various events are planned to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic relations in 2025, mentioning his participation in some of these activities.     

On this occasion, Ambassador Song expressed his appreciation for the support and collaboration he received throughout his tenure. He emphasized that Nepal is a friendly neighboring country to China, highlighting that both nations have consistently respected each other's sensitivities and concerns.     

Ambassador Song further indicated that China is prepared to offer necessary assistance for the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.(RSS)
