No alternative to elections: RSP president Lamichhane

Narayangadh (Chitwan), Dec 20: The Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has asserted that there is no substitute for elections in the present circumstances. 

Speaking to his supporters and well-wishers at Chaubiskothi in Bharatpur, Chitwan, following his release from prison, he stated that elections are the sole means to realize the aspirations of the Gen-Z generation. 

He reaffirmed his dedication to advocating for the needs of the new generation and ensuring the conduct of elections. Chairperson Lamichhane remarked, "Prior to the elections, let the government established through the Gen Z protests demonstrate the courage and capability to realize their dreams." 

The RSP will consistently support the government in meeting the demands of the Gen-Z and facilitating elections." He underscored the necessity for the government to maintain a strong stance on matters of good governance. 

Pointing out that the nation is encountering a complicated situation, the former Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of collective restraint and remarked that nothing can be accomplished through hasty or emotional reactions. 

Chairman Lamichhane reiterated his commitment to refrain from retaliatory politics and to consistently advance responsibly, upholding the principles of democracy. (RSS)
