Woman injured while fire basking in Saptari
By Binay Karna, Kalyanpur (Saptari),Dec 15: A woman has sustained grave injuries while fire basking at the Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality of Saptrai district.
28-year-old Amrita Kumari Mandal of Mithila tole, of Tilathi Koiladi-2, sustained major injuries while fire basking on Sunday night.
Amrita was seriously injured on Monday evening when her saree suddenly caught fire while she was lighting a fire in her cowshed. Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Saptari, Dambar Bahadur Puri, said that 40 percent of his body was burnt in the fire.
She is undergoing treatment at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
