Closed session of UML's general convention begins
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 14: The closed session of the 11th general convention of the CPN (UML) has started this afternoon at Bhrikuti Mandap hall.
Initially planned to begin at 12, the session actually started at about 3 pm.
There are 2,262 convention representatives of the party from across the country taking part in the closed session which will elect 1 chairman, five vice chairmen, 1 general secretary, 3 deputy general secretary, 9 secretaries, 301 central committee members.
The number of politburo is to be 99 and a third of the politburo will be chosen for standing committee member.
