Bhandari elected the new President of Nepal GoodWeave Foundation

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 13: Ubaraj Bhandari has been elected the President of Nepal GoodWeave Foundation held its 30th Social Audit and Annual General Meeting.

During the meeting the leaders and guests have highlighted the organization’s achievements in preventing child labor. 

NHRC Secretary Murari Prasad Kharel praised NGF’s rescue and rehabilitation efforts, while Social Welfare Council Deputy Director Bhagawati Sangraula, Deputy Mayor Shanta Thapa, and NGO Federation General Secretary Devi Khadka expressed their commitment to continued support.

Advisor and founder Binod Karki shared the history of NGF, and Carpet Association Chairperson Balaram Gurung recognized NGF’s contribution to building trust in Nepali carpets internationally.

General Secretary Kiran Thapa presented the annual program report, and President Ubaraj Bhandari concluded the session with commitments to implement the feedback provided.

The AGM elected the Executive Committee for 2025–2027. Ubaraj Bhandari has been elected as President, Balaram Gurung (Vice President), Kiran Thapa (General Secretary), Kalpana Timilsina (Treasurer), Shirjana G.C, Aatmaram Chapagain, Chitra Bahadur Basnet, Anju Shrestha, and Amir Bhattarai  as Members.
