Paran earns over Rs. 161 million

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 2: Paran earned over Rs. 161 million within 30 days of its release.According to the Cinepa box office collection report, the film’s total gross as of last Saturday stands at Rs. 161.68 million, with 569,754 tickets sold.

Veteran actor Nir Shah played the lead role, with Madan Krishna Shrestha appearing in a supporting role.

Directed by Deepak Acharya ‘Kaku’, the film was released on October 31 and has become the highest-grossing Nepali film of 2082 so far.

Likewise, Jerry On Top collected approximately Rs. 122.35 million, with total ticket sales of 390,904. The film is a romantic adventure-drama directed by Suyog Gurung.

Anmol KC, Jasita Gurung, and Aachal Sharma played the lead roles, while Bhuwan KC and Kedar Ghimire appeared in supporting roles.

Jaari 2 earned approximately Rs. 61.94 million, with 206,239 tickets sold. Released on November 7, it is the sequel to the 2023 film Jaari. Directed by Upendra Subba, the film highlights the cultural and symbolic significance of the chyabrung drum. Miruna Magar and Dayahang Rai played the lead roles.

Similarly, the movie Man Binako Dhan, directed and produced by Tanka Budhathoki, collected approximately Rs. 37.49 million. The film sold a total of 143,000 tickets. Ashok Darji, Tanka Budhathoki, and other artistes, including Rabindra Jha, Buddhi Tamang, Saroj Khanal, Bhola Sapkota, and Nita Dhungana, have also acted in the film.
