Birgunj metropolis' revenue collection exceeds Rs 210mn in first four months of FY

Birgunj (Parsa), Nov 27: The Birgunj Metropolitan City (BMC) has collected a revenue of Rs 210 million 396 thousand and 408 in the first four months of the current fiscal year.     

During that period, the metropolis collected a total of Rs 75.6 million rupees in property taxes.     

BMC has collected a revenue of Rs 3 million 767 thousand and 980 from land/property tax in the first four months of the current fiscal year. Similarly, an amount of 160 million 86 thousand has been raised from house rent tax.     

Similarly, revenue of Rs 20 million has been collected from the tax charged for use of infrastructure services. On the other hand, a revenue of Rs 51 million ten has been collected from the tax on other sources.     

Arevenue of Rs 14 million 983 thousand rupees has been collected under other service charges. The BMC collects taxes under 20 different headings.(RSS)
