Kathmandu, Nov 9: The police have arrested two people from Teku Hyumat, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-12, with a substance resembling illegal drug brown sugar.
The police recovered two more revolvers and bullets from the room of two people who were arrested with 920 milligrams of brown sugar, cash of Rs 32,000 and five mobile phones.
Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Kaji Kumar Acharya of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office said that Sujan Shrestha, 19, and Amar Shahi, 21, residing in Kathmandu Metropolitan City–12, were arrested with the narcotics. One revolver and two rounds of ammunition were found hidden behind Shahi's house, and one revolver and four rounds of ammunition hidden in Sujan's house.
"Our team and the police deployed from Kalimati Police Station arrested them with the substance, and during further investigation, two revolvers and bullets were recovered from their house on Saturday," DSP Acharya said.
He stated that further necessary investigation on the matter is ongoing.(RSS)
