Man who escaped from custody arrested in Khotang

By Rajkumar Bhattarai, Khotang, Nov.8: The man who escaped from custody during the Gen Z movement has been arrested in Khotang.

The arrested person has been identified as Prabin Magar, aged 23, of Kerabari, Jantedhunga Rural Municipality-6, Khotang.

Magar, who was under investigation in a rape case, escaped from the custody of the Banepa Area Police Office in Kavre district during the Gen Z movement on September 8.

The police arrested him about 2 months after he went on the run.

According to the District Police Office, Khotang, Magar, who had escaped from Kavre custody, was arrested by the Area Police Office, Chisapani, on November 6 while hiding in his own house.

Chief of the District Police Office, Khotang, Prakash Budhathoki, said that Magar was handed over to a police team from the Banepa Area Police Office on November 8 for further action.
