Prime Minister Karki directs to resolve problems related to passports

Kathmandu, Nov 4: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has sought information from officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Passport about the situation of passport distribution.

The officials of the ministry and the department were summoned to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar today to take note of the state of affairs of the passport distribution work, said the Prime Minister's Press Coordinator Ram Bahadur Rawal.

Prime Minister Karki also directed Foreign Secretary, Amrit Bahadur Rai, Director General of the Department, Tirtha Raj Aryal and other officials to work to ensure that there are no problems in passport-related matters. She directed them to come up with various alternative plans immediately to prevent a situation of passport shortage. (RSS)
