NC Acting President Khadka expresses sorrow over demise of Jonchhe

Kathmandu, Nov 4: Nepali Congress (NC) Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka has expressed his deep sorrow over the demise of Rajani Amanya Jonchhe, a party leader and former member of the Bagmati Province Assembly.     

In a press statement issued by NC Central Office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel on behalf of Khadka, the Acting President mourned the passing of Jonchhe, who served as a former minister of state in the province government and was the spouse of martyr Radheshyam Jonchhe.     

Rajani was born on July 4, 1948, in Patan, Lalitpur, and married Radheshyam Jonchhe in 3035 BS. She also served as the Chair of the Martyr Radheshyam Jonchhe Memorial Trust.     

The party noted that with her passing, it has lost a prominent and experienced woman leader. She passed away this morning at Bhaktapur-based Madhyapur Hospital in the course of treatment for cancer.(RSS)
