Chitwan, Nov 4: Dairy farmers from Bangladesh have come here to learn about milk production, processing and marketing system in the district.
A 17-member team of dairy farmers from Bangladesh led by Manrup Islam will observe local dairy producer cooperatives and cow farms here today.
They discussed milk production and the local situation with the District Dairy Producers Cooperative Association on Monday.
According to Kishor Bagale, the Chitwan president of the Association, the visiting Bangladeshi dairy farmers' team has gathered information here about the status of milk production, the distribution system, and the condition of dairy farmers.
He said, "During the discussions, knowledge sharing was done on how farmers from the two countries have been producing milk and how it is being marketed."
President Bagale provided information on dairy farming good practices in the district and the process of bringing in improved breed cows.
The Bangladeshi team also shared information on the progress in milk production, processing and distribution. The team is scheduled to study the dairy farming practices in Nawalparasi today and return to Kathmandu on Wednesday.(RSS)
